January 25: the pups eyes began to open!
January 29: all pups got their 2 week BD worming (Strongid T)
February 2: all pups are now up on all four legs and moving around well !
February 5: all pups enjoyed their first BIG meal
February 12: all pups had their 4 week BD worming.
February 16:some of these pups were brought to our vet office for a fecal and health check. They checked normal is every point ! We have contacted the owners of the smaller girls whose sweet personalities will make GREAT home pets.
February 26:THE PUPS ARE 6 WEEKS OLD TODAY! They all were wormed, had their first Fort Dodge shot, and were microchipped.
March 2: I've been watching the pups during nights that are colder recently,  and I've seen that these pups are just fine without the heat running. They will have their fluffy fur coats and be ready for their northern homes by March 16!
March 12: all pups had their 8 week worming and their second Fort Dodge puppy shot.
March 15: puppies will go to our vet's office for individual health checks and those who are travelling will get health certificates.
March 16: Many of Emma's litter will be shipped on Delta non stop flights.
TIME IS GETTING CLOSE FOR PUPPIES TO GO TO THEIR NEW HOMES !

There is a bacteria called Klebsiella that causes mastitis and metritis in pregnant and nursing dogs. I brought the below article into our vet and he confirmed this is what caused Emma's (AND Zona's AND Sunny's) complications!  This organism enters the trees or cut logs before they are processed. I purchased cedar and pine chips from Walmart in big bags, thinking that I was buying cleaner, better bedding for our girls than if I purchased bags of shavings and chips from our very nice local sawmill. What a discovery ! Spread the news to save your pregnant mom dogs and newborn pups from pain! (Full article can be read at the following:
